Free Record Shop (or FRS) is a large Dutch retailer of home entertainment products, such as CD's, DVD's and videogames, founded by Hans Breukhoven. The first FRS store opened on the 15th October 1971 in Schiedam, The Netherlands. FRS now also has outlets in Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway and Finland. The company's Amsterdam-based flagship store, however, does not carry the Free Record Shop brand but is called FAME Megastore. The company also operates its own online store.
