Free Princes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Free Princes(Arabic: الأمراء الأحرار) is a Saudi liberal political movement founded in 1958 by Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud (Arabic: طلال بن عبدالعزيز) due to the tensions between King Faisal and King Saud. The civil-right movement led by the prince requested the Saudi authorities to make political-reforms and called for a constitution. King Faisal expelled its members to Egypt and later pardoned them. The movement is no longer active since the late 70s.
