Free Press (organization)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Free Press is a non-partisan, non-profit organization founded by media critic Robert McChesney to promote more democratic media policy in the United States. Its aim is to increase the public's stake in the debate of appropriate media policy with the goal of creating a more competitive media landscape and promoting a media system more friendly to the public interest. Specific areas of concern are the concentration of media ownership and low-power FM broadcasting (LPFM).
