Frederick Redlich

Frederick Carl Redlich ("Fritz") (1910 - January 1, 2004) was the dean of the Yale School of Medicine from 1967 to 1972.
Redlich was born in Vienna, the son of Ludwig and Emma Redlich, and received his M.D. in 1935 from the University of Vienna. He moved to the United States in 1938 with his wife Elsa (they divorced in 1953) and became a U.S. citizen in 1943.
He joined the faculty of Yale in 1942. In addition to his time as dean of the School of Medicine, Redlich was head of the department of psychology from 1950 to 1967.
