Fred Goldsmith (coach)

Fred Goldsmith is the 18th and current head football coach for Lenoir-Rhyne College. Goldsmith is well-known for his successful tenure as coach at Duke University, and is a former winner of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year award, in 1994 at Duke, as well as NCAA Coach of the Year in 1992 at Rice, having revived a program that was in the midst of a two-year winless streak, but upon Goldsmith's signing, recorded a 6-win season, prompting the NCAA to present him with the award.
