Fred Edward Arthur (born March 6, 1961 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who played 3 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Hartford Whalers and Philadelphia Flyers. Rather than accept a demotion to the minors in October 1982, he retired to attend medical school.
