Freaky Fred

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Freaky Fred is the eighth episode of season one of Courage the Cowardly Dog. It introduces Muriel's nephew Fred. It is also the only narrated episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog, and is also memorable for its style, reminiscent of Edgar Allan Poe.

[edit] Plot

The episode begins with Muriel anxiously awaiting the arrival of her nephew, Fred. Eustace is fiddling with the bathroom door and complaining about Fred's freakiness. Soon, the rhyming inner monologue of Fred begins as he arrives on the bus. Once Fred arrives, Courage takes him up to the bathroom where Eustace slams the door, trapping them. Courage is then subjected to a thorough shave as Freaky Fred continues his inner monologue, ending almost every rhyme scheme with "NAAAAUUUUGHTY." Eventually, Courage calls the "Home for Freaky Barbers" from which Fred has apparently escaped. They arrive and knock down the bathroom door, taking Fred away.
