I have just removed the section on Jeff Kennett. To begin with I was just going to tidy it up, then I remembered that the state seat in question was named Frankston East (not Frankston North) which has since been abolished. Now if anyone wants to explain the incident in a NPOV way, create the Electoral district of Frankston East article or better yet Frankston East By-election, 1999. The fact that Jeff Kennett was actually in Frankston North when he discovered that he lost government does not warrant anything more than a line of trivia. Teiresias84 08:00, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Good work - I think you are correct. What suburbs are covered by Frankston East? --Commking 22:42, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Frankston East no longer exists, but I was able to find this page [1] which has a map and also adds that it covered parts of Frankston North, Frankston and Seaford. Teiresias84 23:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mr Baldy?

Frankston North recently held the dubious position of being home to convicted sex offender Mr Baldy, so placed due to a State funded protection and relocation program. I thought that this turned out to be false? --Commking 19:55, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

It did. Derryn Hinch mentioned Mr Baldy's 'new home' on the air during one of his talk back radio shows. The house was attacked by locals. Information eventually surfaced Hinch was wrong. -- Longhair 03:19, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Should this incident in itself be worthy of an inclusion within the main article? Encise 01:43, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Encise

[edit] Vandalism to Frankston North Article

This article is starting to attract an excessive amount of vandalism by non registered users. In most instances, an autobot reverts to earlier edits but Im going to watch this space. If this becomes a daily occurrence (and granted, it's not there yet) then the article might need to be protected from edits by new or recently registered users. [edit] Needless sections

This article has too many sections which could be combined into more general topics. I've marked it for cleanup. -- Longhair\talk 15:19, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
