He's listed under the category of Gay politicians, yet there is no mention of his sexual orientation in his biography. If he is indeed gay, it should be noted in his biography, with footnoted reference(s) documenting this.

There isn't historical documentation that he was gay and I have removed gay innuendo from his bio in the past. He was known to have an active dating life in both Detroit and Washington. See Arc of Justice by Kevin Boyle, which is actually an item of historical research rather than rumor. I have removed the "gay politician tag". I also removed the direct quote from the Straight Dope. The article doesn't reference historical scholarship regarding drug use. It's true that he was hospitalized while on the court, but he died while serving on the court due to heart problems.
