[edit] Plot summary
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
The KACL team has a weight loss competition with a competing radio station. The whole team except Frasier pigs out just before the first weigh-in just to lose that extra bit of weight. Meanwhile, a pigeon flies into Frasier's glass window. Niles and Martin take it upon themselves to nurse it back to health.
The KACL team undergoes increasingly extreme measures to lose weight, and stops eating 24 hours before the final weigh-in and has a few hour long steam bath. Eddie, the dog, steals the pigeon out of the box it was in and eats it. At the final weigh-in, the KACL team loses, just, but then Roz cuts her hair off and they eventually win.
