Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club is a club based at Jubilee Park, Frankston, Victoria, Australia. Its nickname is The Heat. The Club plays in the Victorian Premier Cricket Association. It was admitted to the Premier Cricket league in 1993. The Club was runner up to St. Kilda CC in 2003.
As at the Christmas break, the Heat finished with three consecutive wins. The first, a club-record chase of 362 against Northcote, then belted Footscray-Edgewater and in the last game before xmas, the Heat thumped North Melbourne at Arden Street on what was labelled as one of the worst pitches seen in a Premier First XI match.
The Club's Seconds, Thirds and Fourth XI's all had horror starts to the season with just a handful of wins between them.
The current club coach, Keith Jansz, has been coach for over six years and is the club's longest-serving coach. The First XI is captained by Luke Walker. The Heat's champion fast bowler, Darren Groves, represented Victoria at junior level and recently played for the Bushranger 2nd XI.
