Franklin Academy

Franklin Academy is a boarding school in East Haddam, Connecticut, serving the needs of students in grades 8-12 who have Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities (NLD) and various other learning disabilities. The school officially opened in September 2003 with approximately 35 students. In its second year, enrollment grew to approximately 55 students. The third year there were about 75 students. The headmaster is Fred Weissbach. The school is currently in its fourth year and serves approximately 80 students of varying skills and abilities.
