Frankenthal is a municipality in the east of Saxony, Germany. It belongs to the district of Bautzen and lies west of the eponymous city. The village is named after the Franks, which settled in Lusatia since 1200.

The municipality is situated at the northern edge of the Lausitzer Bergland (Lusatian Hills), near the city of Bischofswerda.
