[edit] Biography

Frank Gerwer grew up in Hicksville, Long Island (New York). This is where he learned to ride a skateboard. He is now a professional skateboarder living in San Francisco. His main contribution to skateboaring so far has been to kickflip the Wallenberg Four (discussed in next section). Many skateboarders all over the world know his exact address, Six Newell (because of the popular "Six Newell" video (an absurdist skateboard docudrama)). See SkimTheFatfor a review of this video.

[edit] Kickflipping The Wallenberg Four

Upon reviewing one of Frank's sponsor-me videos, Jeremy Klein advised Frank to

"Take his balls out of his mother's purse."

Taking this advice to heart, Frank later became the first to kickflip (no grab) the famous Wallenberg Four ( Saturday, October 27, 2001).

Effectively using the Wallenberg Four as a jump post, Frank's stunt, caught on video, was displayed as the third greatest video opener of all time (at the time) in 411 video magazine's 50th issue (behind Tony Hawk's 900 and Bob Burnquists switch loop). [edit] Sponsorship History

His first board sponsor was a short lived company named "Thirteen Colonies" (During this period he gained the appellation "Thirteen Colonies Frank"). Some time after, he gained sponsorship by the now defunct comany "Number nine". Through his connections to the once notorious Alex Goldberg (not this Alex Goldberg), Frank landed his first shoe sponsor: Simple shoes.

Feeling the west coast tug, he transplanted himself to San Francisco. Toiling in the gold mines didn't last long, and Frank soon became a happy member of Lance Mountain's company "The Firm." As has been rumored, "The Firm" and "Anti-Hero" (his current sponsor) cooperated to create a foreign exchange program. However, due to the notoriously inept Brazilian bureaucracy, Frank was not exchanged until long after Bob Burnquist had been.

[edit] End

When he's not impersonating Travis Bickle, or doing Yoga, he can be found jumping, flipping, and grabbing his funstick up and down the slopes of SF, at all hours of the night and day.
