Frank Barson

Frank Barson (10 April 1891 — September 13, 1968) was an English footballer. He was born in Grimsthorpe, and had a reputation as a "hard man" of English football. He played for Barnsley before moving to Aston Villa. After 1922, he went on to play for Manchester United, Watford, Hartlepool, Wigan Athletic and Rhyl.
He was married to Frances Evelyn Betton in 1915, and died at Winsom Green, Birmingham, at the age of 77.
