Francois Ducaud-Bourget

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Francois Ducaud-Bourget (1898-1984) was a prominent Traditionalist Catholic prelate in France and a close ally of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. A member of the Society of St. Pius X, in 1977 he organised the occupation of the Church of Saint-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet in protest against the rites instituted by the Second Vatican Council. In 1983, he asked the Society to appoint Abbot Philippe Laguérie as his successor. He is buried in the church, which contains a portrait bust over his tomb.

In the mythology of the Priory of Sion hoax, Duchaud-Bourget is listed as the Grand Master of the Priory following the death of Jean Cocteau.
