Francisco de Paula Aguirre, was born in Caracas, October 20, 1875. He dedicates great part of his life to the music and the composition of waltzes, conforming a romantic and picaresque repertoire. His works became classics on the radio broadcasting stations of Venezuela, in addition they conquered in the elegant halls of Europe.

The romanticism describe the musical life of Francisco de Paula Aguirre, who closes the cycle of the pop and romantic music of the Caracas of XX century principles. Francisco de Paula Aguirre, was the precursory of the pianola roll manufacture industry, commercial work to which dedicates great part of his life. His compositions were widely awarded, emphasizing several prizes, like the waltz "Dama Antañona", who crossed the halls of the aristocratic colonial houses and the narrow rooms of the district houses.

Between his creations, emphasize "Claveles de Galipán", "Que Bella son las flores" and his nationalistic joropo "Amalia". Francisco de Paula Aguirre, dies in 1939.
