Francisco I. Madero (Coahuila)

Francisco I. Madero is a city and its surrounding municipality located in the northern Mexican state of Coahuila. It is located at the southwestern part of the state near the Durango state border, in the economic region known as Laguna at 25°46′31″N, 103°16′23″W, at a mean height of 1,100m above sea level. It is located 200km from the state's capital, Saltillo. It has an areal extent of 4,933.9 km² (1,904.99 sq mi), which is the 3.25% of the total surface of the state. The city, which serves as municipal seat of the municipality, had a 2005 census population of 30,084, while the municipality had a total population of 51,528. Its largest other community is the town of Lequeitio.
