I removed the following since the [Foxfire (movie)] link went to an article for the 1996 Foxfire movie. There currently is no Wikipedia article for the 1956 Jane Russell movie, or any other movie with Foxfire in the title (IMDB shows several [1]), other than the 1996 movie. Foxfire in Japan pre-dates anime. There is a folk belief that if one sees a flame floating in the air at night, it's a sign of the presence of a fox. "Kitsune bi"(J.) Ref. Lafcadio Hearn. One wonders about the origin of the expression in English. 2 May 2006
