Foxiland

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Foxiland" is a political term in Mexico that refers to the country described by former President Vicente Fox in his public and official declarations. Indeed, according to his detractors this country, where everything is working for the best, is only an illusion of President Fox, shared by some of his collaborators. Opponents say that, in the real country called Mexico, one can find a counter-example for each of the President's official assertion.

The term, born during the fourth Government Annual Report of President Fox to the congress, in 2004, when opposition deputies asked President Fox: "Which country are you talking about? Where is this Foxiland?" President Fox answered: "Foxiland is here".
