Because there are to many types of engines not mentioned, I suggest moving this article to "Internal combution engine valves" Both two-stroke and four-stroke engines use these valves that are common to internal combustion engines. Comments please. Jobst 00:27, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm unclear on what that table should contain with respect to valve and engine types. Poppet valves are described under their own heading as are two stroke and four stroke, Diesel and Otto cycle engines. Fill me in. --Jobst 23:31, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

- This article concerns primarily cam dirven poppet valves and someone looking for that subject ought to find it readily under "Internal combustion engine valves". For the less common valve mechanisms, like reed and rotary valves, a link to those subjects could appear at the end of the article. Too much information up front is a hindrance as I see it. The various uses of the valves has more to do with the type of engine than the nature of cam driven poppet valves and should appear in the descrition of those engines. So how about changing the name to "Internal combustion engine valves" and appending a table of links to other types of valves?Jobst 00:46, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
