- The Four Heavenly Kings (Chinese: 四大天王) of cantopop are Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, and Aaron Kwok. Hacken Lee was later called the "Unnamed Fifth King". In the 1990s, they were the most popular Hong Kong male artists, ranked in terms of record sales and popularity.
- The Four Young Heavenly Kings of mandopop are Jay Chou, Wang Lee Hom, David Tao and JJ Lin.

- The Four Heavenly Kings of Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party are Annette Lu (Taiwan's Vice President), Su Tseng-chang( Premier of Taiwan), Frank Hsieh (Former Premier of Taiwan and DPP's candidate for the Taipei Mayoral election in 2006), and Yu Shyi-kun (Chairman of the DPP Party), a term commonly used by the Taiwanese media.

- The Four Heavenly Kings in the Ultraman Mebius series refers to four extremely powerful aliens who intent to destroy the Ultras, particularly Ultraman Mebius. They serve under the all-powerful Alien Empera and are said to be survivors of the Ultimate Wars - a war beetwen the Ultras and race of aliens who attacked their home planet. They are: Alien Mefilas, Deathrem, Glozam, and Yapool.

- The Four Heavenly Kings in Konjiki no Gash Bell!! refer to the most powerful of the thousand-year-old demons. In the American adaptation Zatch Bell!, they are called the Four Supreme Mamodo.
- The Four Heavenly Kings is another name referring to Pokémon's Elite Four, a fictional team of four highly-skilled Pokémon trainers in the Pokémon world. These trainers are referred to as gods, and can be identified from other trainers by their cockiness and bragging ability.
