Fouquieria formosa (Kunth, 1823, ex H.B.K) is a desert plant of family Fouquieriaceae, native to North America.
This plant can grow to about 3.5 meters (10-15 feet) in height and has spines and red-orange flowers. The flowers are pollinated by hummingbirds.
