Despite the title most of the stories in this volume are set during the early Robot series. "Strip Runner" takes place during the events of The Robots of Dawn. The stories "The Originist" and "Trantor Falls" are the only ones that take place during the timeframe of the Foundation Series. "Foundation’s Conscience" takes place after the founding of the Second Empire, making it the last Foundation story chronologically.
