Talk:Ford Germany

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi! Thanks for putting the article together! I will try to look into some German sources to complement what you wrote. I am afraid I didn't find too much on the WWII, so I am afraid it would be good if you tried to somehow give an outline of that too... I was thinking about the name of the article, however. AFAIK, there was no entity called explicitly "Ford Germany", so naming the article this way would be a bit against WP policies. This is why I named the article on the French Ford "Ford SAF", even though it wasn't known by that name all the time (though somehow my subjective feeling is that this was the most important and catch-all name). AFAIK, Ford's German subsidiary is still called Ford-Werke (that's what the website says), though it's a GmBH rather than AG, so I guess we might consider moving this article to "Ford Werke". What do you think? Perhaps there is a better name I didn't think of... Bravada, talk - 10:58, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
