[edit] Classification

Superheroes? Weren't they normally portrayed as antagonists?

There in lies a rub with the story element classifications: protagonists are not necessarily heroes/superheroes and antagonists are not always villains/supervillains.

The original set up for the group was that they did think of themselves as superheroes. Even what I know of the later versions fit this mold to some extent.
