- The original photo is public domain definitely (it was taken in 1915!!). And per Bridgeman Art Library v. Corel Corp., copies of public domain images are not copyrightable, so, the image or parts of it are in public domain as well. --Ragib 08:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure if the copyvio claim is mistaken. The original image at Cambridge looks different. The author has done a lot of photosphop processing: not only levels but also retouching. --Horatiorama 17:36, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

- Source: The photo was probably downloaded from emforster.de. Notice that the name of the website has been deleted before the photo was uploaded to English Wikipedia. According to this fan site this photo is from 1915. The photo is owned by the provost and scholars of King's College, Cambridge.
- It really doesn't matter who has this picture, or what logo they apply. per en:Bridgeman Art Library v. Corel Corp., copies of public domain images are not copyrighted, so, the image or parts of it are in public domain as well. Ragib 08:16, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
