Fort Hamilton High School has stood overlooking the Narrows and Lower New York Bay since 1941. One of the largest public high schools in the state, Fort Hamilton has over 4,000 students currently enrolled in grades 9-12. Such a large school needs a system to function so they adapted a schedule from 7:20 am to 3:30 pm for the students. The School is very large and dominant in its sports and its band. The school has great teachers and staff, but is lacking in some academic areas. Overall this school is great.
