From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Forney High School is a public secondary school in Forney, Texas, United States. Including grades 9 through 12, it is a part of the Forney Independent School District and serves the city of Forney, the city of Talty, the small Kaufman County portion of Mesquite, and other unincorporated areas in Kaufman County.

Forney High School's motto recently changed to "Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow, Champions Always." The school has several award-winning organizations including a Drill Team, UIL Academics Team, Theatre Department, Special Olympics Team, Band, and Choir.

Although the idea of naming rights stemming from sponsorship is common to professional stadiums, the FISD stadium is one of the few high school football stadium with naming rights, which belong to City Bank. Varsity football, soccer and track compete in the stadium, officially named City Bank Stadium. FHS competes in UIL Class AAAA. The school mascot is the jackrabbit.

All Forney ISD schools feed into Forney High School.

[edit] School uniforms

All Forney ISD students are normally required to wear school uniforms. However, in special cases where a student objects to the uniform policy for religious or philosophical reasons, he or she may request to opt out of the policy.[1]

[edit] Opt Out Days

Forney High School also allows exceptions to the uniform policy during special occasions, such as football games, where the students can wear jeans and a Forney High School Blackout t-shirt instead of the school uniform.
