Forgiven Rival is an Australian alternative rock band from Melbourne, Victoria. They formed in early 2005 in Simeon Dux's garage in the suburbs of Melbourne. They stormed onto the Melbourne underground scene in late 2005 with their 2-track self-titled demo. They released their Debut EP, The Symphony of Words independantly, and are planning to release a second EP in April of 2007. They are currently unsigned. They play a melodic blend of post-hardcore and melodic rock.
