Forest Reserve Act of 1891

The Forest Reserve Act of 1891 allowed the president to set aside forest reserves from the land in the public domain. It was passed by Theodore Roosevelt. Harrison put 13 million acres of land into National forests; Cleveland put in 25 and McKinley put in 7.
