Forest Hill Community High School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Forest Hill Community High School (FHCHS) is a public high school in West Palm Beach, Florida with an enrollment of more than 1200 students. FHCHS's mascot is the Falcon. The school is a part of the School District of Palm Beach County.
The school's attendance boundaries encompass a culturally diverse area with a high percentage of non-native speakers of English. In order to expand the opportunities available to its student body, the school initiated many magnet programs, including Computer Science and International Baccalaureate programs. The school became infamous for being the only school in Palm Beach County to fail the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test, with a little over 19% of its students passing the English portion of that exam.
Over the past four years, The school's Marching band, The Marching Falcons, has grown in popularity, size, and quality. The 2006-2007 "Visions of Jazz" halftime show has proven to be their best yet, despite having only 24 winds and 4-member auxiliary, which is minuscule, but outstanding none the less.
