Fordbridge

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fordbridge is a suburb in between Kingshurst and Chelmsley Wood in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, which is in the English county of West Midlands, and also part of the West Midlands conurbation. It is about eight miles east of Birmingham City Centre. It constitutes a civil parish and has a town council. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 8,748.

Fordbridge is also near to the expenisve area of Marston Green and features a new £32million Secondary School, called the 'Grace Academy'. The area falls within the borders of North Solihull, which is now subject to a £1.8 billion refurbishment project. This alone, is evidence that Fordbridge is developing into an even more desirable patch.

Although Fordbridge is in close proximity to Chelmsley Wood, it does not share the same unjustified reputation which Chelmsley Wood unfairly suffers from and is unanimoulsy regarded as a much more pleasant, safe and affluent area to reside in.
