Ford EX

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ford EX (informally known as the Ford Ex and Ford Extreme) was a concept car created by the Ford Motor Company. It was first introduced at the 2001 North American International Auto Show. The EX was built to be a very perfected off-road vehicle.

[edit] Engine and Design

The EX is powered by an SOHC 4.0 Supercharged V6 engine. This engine can give out up to 375 horsepower (93.8 HP per liter) and 410 ft.-ibs. of torque. This concept car has a five-gear, manual transmission with four-wheel drive (4WD). The design of the vehicle is very bare, as it has no doors. The EX's exterior is mainly made out of a chrome-moly steel frame that can sustain durability, which is considered good for it's off-road capability. Another large part that also makes it an off-road vehicle is its immense 33" tires.
