Ford Bantam

The Ford Bantam is a "bakkie" (pickup truck) sold by the Ford Motor Company in South Africa. It is based on the Ford Fiesta, and is an exclusively South African design as well as being produced in South Africa for locals and export. The original Ford Bantam was based on the Ford Escort, before being replaced by a version of the Mazda-based Ford Laser. Currently the Bantam has benefited from a complete face lift which has resulted in a new bakkie inside and out.
