"For You / Time Limit" (For You/タイム・リミット For You / Taimu Rimitto?) was Utada Hikaru's 7th single released in June 30, 2000. "For You" was a soft R&B ballad, while Time Limit was a more upbeat R&B track. The uniting theme of the two was their mid-tempo style, quite unlike any of Utada's other Distance tracks. This may be a remnant of the American production on this single.

"For You / Time Limit" debuted at #1 on the Oricon charts, selling 451,640 in its first week and going on to sell 909,000 copies.

Even though this single was the only double A-side of Utada Hikaru's Distance era, this single sold the least. Interestingly, it did outsell every DEEP RIVER and ULTRA BLUE single, however.

Unlike every other PV of Utada's, the two PVs that promoted this single were created from concert footage. The only other PV of Utada's to feature live footage is Flavor of Life, an in-studio PV. This is Utada's last single to feature two PVs; all singles after this featured only one.
