Folke Filbyter
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Folke Filbyter is a characther in old Swedish legends who may have lived in the 11th century, supposedly an ancestor to the House of Bjelbo.
There is no historical proof that Folke Filbyter has really existed, but he appears in old legends as well as more modern literature like Frans G. Bengtsson's The Long Ships.
[edit] Trivia
- There is a statue of Folke Filbyter seeking his grandchild in Clayton, Missouri that is on loan from the St. Louis Art Museum. It was created by Carl Milles in 1927.
