The Focke-Wulf Fw 42 was a twin-engined canard medium bomber developed from the F 19 Ente ("Duck") light transport.

Designed from 1931-1933, the Fw 42 featured a long, slender fuselage with gun positions at each end, retractable landing gear, and an internal bomb bay. A full-scale mockup was constructed and proved to have good performance in wind tunnel testing[1]; however, despite interest from Russia and Japan[1], no aircraft were ever built.
