Fochlucan Lyrist

The Fochlucan Lyrist is a Dungeons and Dragons prestige class introduced in Complete Adventurer. A Lyrist is a powerful hybrid Arcane/Divine caster who also has a smattering of other abilities.

[edit] Class Requirements
To become a Fochlucan Lyrist, one needs to know Druidic, possess the Bardic Knowledge ability and the Evasion ability, and have 7 ranks in Decipher Script, 7 ranks in Diplomacy, 7 ranks in Gather Information, 7 ranks in Knowledge (nature), 13 ranks in Perform (string instruments), 7 ranks in Sleight of Hand, and the ability to cast 1st-level Arcane and Divine Spells. The Bardic Knowledge requirement means only Bards or any class with an equivalent ability (e.g. the Loremaster) can qualify, while the Druidic prerequisite will limit the class to Druids or anyone who can somehow learn Druidic.

The Fochluchan Lyrist has a Fighter's BAB progression, and good Will and Reflex saves. He has 6+int skill points per level and D6 HD progression. Each level, the caster's Arcane and Divine caster levels both increase by one, similar to that of the Mystic Theurge. In addition, the Lyrist has the following abilities.

A Fochluchan Lyrist can wear metal light armor without violating his Druidic Oaths.

The Fochluchan Lyrist's levels stack with his levels in Bard for determining his Knowledge, and his Bardic Music abilities.
