[edit] FMA Live! Science Education Program
FMA Live!is an award-winning science education program sponsored and developed by Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Named for Sir Isaac Newton’s Second Law (Force = Mass x Acceleration), FMA Live! is a traveling hip hop stage show that uses professional performers, dance, music, videos and interactive science demonstrations to teach middle school students Newton’s Laws of Motion and Gravity. The program is offered at no cost to schools.

Research shows student interest in math and science is on the decline while careers in these fields are growing at a rate of three times that of all others.

FMA Live! delivers content that supports the learning objectives of the National Science Education Standards for grades 5-8, encourages the process of scientific inquiry and helps kids learn that science is key to understanding the world around them. By aiming to pique their interest in science and math at an early age, the program is designed to inspire students to pursue careers is science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Since its launch in 2004, FMA Live! has traveled more than 35,500 miles and reached more than 116,000 students in 271 middle schools throughout the USA. The program is highly sought after by teachers and students alike.Teachers can request the free program at the FMA Live! web site.
