FM Radios in Bangalore

There are 11 radio stations in Bangalore. They are - Radio city 91.1fm, Radio indigo 91.9fm, Big 92.7fm, S fm93.5, Radio one fm94.3, Radio mirchi 98.3fm, Fever 104fm, Fm Rainbow 101.3, Vividh Bharati 102.9fm, Gyanvani 105.6 fm, Amrutavarshini 100.1fm .
Radio city is the first fm radio station to come to Bangalore. It was started on July 3 2001 with the frequency 91 fm. On October 30 2006 it changed to the frequency 91.1fm.It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by Music Broadcast India Private Limited.
Fm Rainbow & Vividh Bharati were the second & third radio stations.They are controlled by All India radio.Fm Rainbow was launched on September 5 2001, while Vividh Bharati on November 1 2001. Both are broadcasted for 17 hrs from 6am to 11pm.
Gyanvani is the 4th radio station launched on Januari 26 2004 with the frequency 107.6fm.On January 2007 its frequency changed to 105.6Mhz.It is controlled by IGNOU.It is broadcasted for 8 Hrs(6am to 10am & 6pm to10pm).
Amrutavarshini is the 5th radio station and was started with frequeny 100.2fm. But now it is changed to 100.1fm & it is also controlled by All India radio.It is broadcasted for 4 Hrs(6pm to 10pm).
Radio Mirchi is the 6th radio station launched on April 17 2006 with the frequency 93.3fm.On August 1 2006 it changed to the frequency 98.3fm.It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by Entertainmment network India Limited.
Radio One is the 7th radio station launched on August 1 2006 with the frequency 94.3fm. It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by Mid-Day.
Radio Indigo is the 8th radio station launched on Septemer 19 2006 with the frequency 91.9fm. It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by Indigo mass communication limited.
Big is the 9th radio station launched on October 9 2006 with the frequency 92.7fm. It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by ADAG Adlabs.
S fm is the 10th radio station launched on November 6 2006 with the frequency 93.5fm. It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by Kal radio(Sun network).
Fever is the 11th radio station launched on January 22 2007 with the frequency 104fm. It is broadcasted for 24hrs.It is controlled by Hindustan times & Virgin radio.
