The Flying Fish is a steel rollercoaster located at Thorpe Park in Surrey. It was originally built in 1987 as Space Station Zero and was rethemed in 1990. It was removed in 2005 to make way for Stealth, the parks 2006 icon coaster. It was previously located opposite Storm in a Teacup, Amity Cove, the current site of the Stealth Diner. It was considered as one of Thorpe's last classic rides, and many people where sad to see it leave.

[edit] The Return

In early 2006, Thorpe Park submitted a planning application to rebuild the fish in a new location. The plans were approved and Thorpe Park confirmed that the Flying Fish will return for the 2007 season. It will remain in the Amity Cove area, but will be built on the land between Depth Charge and Tidal Wave. As of December 2006, the track is now in place, with slight changes in colour scheme with blue track, navy supports and an orange train. The train has arrived, and began testing on the 24th of February. It opened on March 17, 2007.
