[edit] Welcome from Redwolf24

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

P.S. I like messages :-P

[edit] Nice work

On all the eSports stuff. I especially like the revision of Emil Christensen. I am pretty external to all the competitive stuff, so it's nice to have someone else working on it. See also Andreas 'bds' Thorstensson and SoGamed (too big - edited down from materials I had them send me). If you're willing to help with copy-editing on Sturmgrenadier, it would be appreciated. --Habap 15:59, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, it's something I've been doing for a while so if I can use things I remember reading about over the years to tidy up some of the articles I've came across then all the better, seems like a few of them have had VFDs simply from being unclear about any notability they might have. Oh and I'll be happy to help out with the articles you mentioned :) --FlooK 15:40, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Nice Work

I like the work you did on the CounterStrike cheating article. keep it up. --jonasaurus 20:53, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Same here

You seem like a soft spoken person, I appreciate that. You should visit me on quakenet in #gamecom.ch sometime so we can talk a bit more personally. Dabljuh 21:07, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, I might do that, I don't know if I'll be on IRC much until I get back into gaming often but I've usually got an IM client on if there's anything in particular you want to discuss. --FlooK 18:07, 15 August 2005 (UTC)

Since there's already a "nice work" section, I figured I would add to it :-) Nice work on creating/editing Lim Yo-Hwan! I was just about to create it after having noticed the discussion at Gameplay of StarCraft, but put it off until now...and thank goodness because now you've made a much better seed article than I would have. --Chan-Ho 18:11, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Team 3D

Could you have a look? I'm thinking that there's far too much space used on the team members and now they've also added Management & Staff. I'm uncertain if I should just go in and wipe or re-arrange, as we probably want to have some consistency on these things in the future. --Habap 14:33, 13 September 2005 (UTC)

Can I get you to look into Ksharp's page? He's a player on Team 3D and appears to have created the page himself. I have no idea if any of his claims are true and considered just putting it up for deletion as a vanity page. Thanks in advance! --Habap 16:59, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sturmgrenadier AfD

I'm dropping you this note, as I've seen you vote on some gaming articles that were up for deletion and you probably have an interest. Recently, the article for Sturmgrenadier met with Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sturmgrenadier. I would appreciate your input on the article and comments on the AfD page, whether you see fit to retain it or delete it. --Habap 15:39, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Manuel schenkhuizen.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Manuel schenkhuizen.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. cohesiontalk 03:43, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Extraslogo.png

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Extraslogo.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Ditalk 22:49, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
