Florida is a town and municipality in the Camagüey Province of Cuba. It is located 40 km north-west of Camagüey.
The municipality contains the communities of Central Céspedes, Florida, Magarabomba, Piedrecitas and San Jerónimo.
The town was established in 1907
There are about 40,000 people living in and around this town. The town has a library, several schools, primary and secondary. The schools are in a mess except The Jose Marti primary school which has been recently renovated. There is a general hospital and a pediatric hospital.
