Florence Prusmack

Florence Prusmack (1921 - ) Author of many articles, monographs and books focusing on Japan and East Asia. Her extremely well researched and documented articles often deal with obscure but fascinating areas of Japanese history.

Masako, Lady Shogun published in 2004 recounts the story of the first and only lady shogun in Japan. Khan examines the life and motivations of the great war lord Ghengis Khan. Both books are unusual not only for the exacting historical accuracy by the autho, but also for the beauty of the writing style. Prusmack's research is original and performed, as in the case of "Lady Shogun", over a twenty year period. Also wrote, Aloha Eden and The Jade God.

Presently resides in Florida, USA.
