Flipmode Records is a record label founded in 1994 by hiphop artist Busta Rhymes that operates as a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. Most recently, the label jointly released Busta Rhymes's The Big Bang with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment.

  • Busta Rhymes - CEO of Flipmode Records signed with Aftermath and released "The Big Bang" and is now working on his label.
  • Rah Digga - Female rapper signed to Flipmode Records born in New Jersey considered by most to be influential in the hip hop movement for female artist. Album "Sucker Free" in works.
  • Spliff Star - Rapper from Brooklyn appeared on Busta Rhymes album "The Coming" in 1996 has since signed with Flipmode Records. Album "Beyond Redemption" in works.
  • Flipmode Squad - The actual group was the production crew and musical family, founded and fronted by rapper Busta Rhymes, which counted Rah Digga, Rampage, Lord Have Mercy, Spliff Star, and Baby Sham among its members. They debuted in 1998 with The Imperial Album, and Rampage and Rah Digga went on to record solo efforts. Lord Have Mercy left Flipmode Squad in preference of a solo career in 2000.
  • Rampage - Rapper from Brooklyn who released his first album in 1997, called Scouts Honor...By way of blood). Released his second album in 2006, called "Have you seen?".
  • Papoose - Signed through a joint venture with Jive Records and Streetsweepers Entertainment, also born in Brooklyn and was sought after by many labels but chose Flipmode Records. Album "The Nacirema Dream" in works, set for release in Spring/Summer 2007
  • Chauncey Black - Former member of Blackstreet signed to Flipmode/Universal. His album "Church Boy", is now in the works.
  • Baby Sham (rapper) - Rapper from Queensbridge.
