Flip button

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Flip Button is when a computer application (often malicious types like spyware and adware) tries to trick the user into clicking a button, by making the user think he made a good choice when he actually did not. An example is when there are 2 buttons, the first one saying "Yes" and the other one saying "No", but both buttons actually result in the same effect as pressing "Yes". One can get around this trick by removing the application in the task manager, or by clicking the x button in the top right corner. One type of flip button is a web-browser popup looking like a Windows XP Message Box with the choices yes and no, while the whole picture actually is one link.
