[edit] Trivia contradiction
One of the trivia points contradicts itself: it says that s joke was both left in (and dubbed) and left out of the English translation. -Litefantastic 18:45, 11 July 2006 (UTC) - I've elaborated the supposed contradicion and it should be clear now what was meant.
[edit] Episode Length
On the template, the episode length given does not include the credits. With the credits, the episode is 30:55. If this needs to be changed, someone can change it using that information. --Gunblade 16:09, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] References
I've got a working theory that this episode references each of the other five, though I haven't been able to prove it. My incomplete list:
- Fooly Cooly: The manga sequence
- FireStarter: In FLCLimax, the students mention that Miyajun has gone to talk to Kamon about "where Naota put his brian." In FS, Haruko uses x-rays to show Naota his head is empty.
- Marquis de Carabas: Naota's bath scene mirrors that of Ninamori's
- Full Swing:
- Brittle Bullet:
See, I don't know about 4 and 5. -Litefantastic 22:44, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well isn't naota's shower scene supposed to reference his first episode shower scene, not ninamori's? --frothT 08:22, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] S-Cry-Ed Reference?
I just finished watching this episode, and when Naota and Haruko are fighting up in the air, they're zipping around like streaks of light swirling and colliding and it just really reminded me of the battles between Kazuma and Ryuhou in the later episodes of s-CRY-ed when they have reached their alter's full potential and can fly easily. Did anyone else see this as well? SeaFox 07:40, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- What about the timing? Scryed was 2001, and FLCL was 2000. If anything, the hypothetical influence would have to be the other way around. --Gwern (contribs) 14:44, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

- Bah! You're right, I checked that too but must have remembered it backwards (S-CRY-ed being 2000 and FLCL being 2001) I think it's more likely they are both refrencing something earlier then. SeaFox 20:22, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

- Perhaps Dragonball and Dragonball Z? It just occurred to me, that scene is very reminiscent of several scenes from the DB/Z series, especially some from the battles with Cell or Majin Buu. --Dinoguy1000 Talk 20:49, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Does anyone else...
...hate this episode as much as I do? I've spent the past week and a half eagerly awaiting each new installment of FLCL on Adult Swim (if you could call it "new"...), and I loved them all... until FLCLimax. At first I couldn't decide what to make of it, then after sleeping on it, I finally decided that I hate it, which is a pretty big deal for me. Anyone else here reciprocate my feelings? --Dinoguy1000 Talk 20:45, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
- I thought it was fine. Medical Mechanica is revealed to be appropriately creepy, and this sort of anime doesn't really have a neat ending; the ending is a lot like Eva's, and I think on sustained reflection that this is as well as it could've ended. --Gwern (contribs) 05:29 21 December 2006 (GMT)
[edit] Removed Conversation?
In this episode, when Naota is riding on the back of Haruko's Vespa after running away, the characters' mouths are moving, yet they don't say anything. I can't figure out what to think of it. Any help, please? Chronamew981 21:01, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
