Hello. Welcome to Flameviper's talk page. This is a place where you can leave messages for me. I will read them and reply, either here or at your talk page. Please do not troll, flame, or do anything else to piss me off. Thank you. ~ Flameviper

[edit] Business with Netsnipe

Oh, gods, it's great to be back...wow. Um...this is really awkward...could somebody plese unprotect User talk:Flameviper?

Please tag all your remaining accounts as doppelgangers. I'll have to block them within 24 hours after you finish tying up loose ends. Thanks. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:32, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Wha? ~ Flameviper 16:33, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Actually, tagging them as alternate accounts would be a better idea. I think it would be safer for you if I blocked the accounts you no longer wish to use so other admins can't accuse you of abusive sockpuppetry and reblock you. Don't worry though, there won't be any visible block messages on the pages and the block log will explain that this account is being blocked for being obsolete. Is that OK with you? --  Netsnipe  ►  16:38, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Um...sure...But I want my name changed to Flameviper...are you a crat?
Actually, I don't have to block your alternate accounts. Just tag them as alternative accounts and NEVER use them again. I'm deadly serious about that -- I'm the forgiving type as you can tell, but other admins will indef you again if they see you use more than one account. I'm not a bureacrat, but I've unblocked Flameviper for you just now as well. I don't think it's possible to rename Flameviper12 to Flameviper since the latter has a edit/block history now. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:47, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
Um...I'll get around to that soon. But first I want to get this whole username drama over with. Flameviper is my account anyways and I want to take that name per [WP:USURP]]. ~ Flameviper 16:51, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Have you lost your password to User:Flameviper or are you just hoping to migrate your past editing history across (despite its warts and all)? Anyway, I'm off to sleep and won't be back for 36 hours most likely. Good luck getting everything sorted. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:56, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

No, I can still get on to Flameviper, but I do want to have my edits on that account (warts and all). Well, thanks for the help, see ya later Snipey! ~ Flameviper 16:58, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Flagging of "FurniFind.com" Entry

I noticed that you flagged my entry for FurniFind.com as spam. My intention is not to blatantly adverise. FurniFind.com is a free resource for shoppers and genereates no revenue whatsoever from consumer traffic. It has received significant press coverage in the NYC area and is well-known to many NYers as a helpful site for planning furniture purchases. What are your suggestions for contributing this entry to Wikipedia without it being considered spam? . Anziom

[edit] User:Usman Hashmi

Wikipedia:User page#Ownership and editing of pages in the user space states, "In general it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing another's user page without their permission." --Geniac 17:49, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop deleting my user sub-pages

I know your intentions are well, but it's becoming a pain in the ass.

Could you please restore the pages of mine that you deleted? Thanks.

~ Flameviper 16:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

I thought you said you wanted a clean slate. So which ones do you want undeleted? Be careful what you wish for. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:34, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Well, um...I mean, it seemed like the only things you deleted were just things like my old userpage and my talk archives and stuff. I don't think it would be a big deal if people could access a few vandalism warnings on my talk page from 2 years ago. Just as long as none of the restored pages get protected, I suppose I could just put {{db-author}} on any of them and get them disposed of rather quickly...
So all in all, sure. ~ Flameviper 16:38, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Please provide links to all the pages you want restored. I can't be bothered digging through my log to find what pages you want restored. By the way, you should realise now that Wikipedia:Usurpation is only a proposed policy and it's very doubtful anyone will ever fulfil your request in the near future. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:46, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please help

Sorry to bother you, but as an things are getting desperate and I need to appeal to your for help. We are facing a situation where a deletionist admin is free to declare inclusionist arguments "absurd" and ignore them at will. If you don't agree with this situation, please share your opinion here. Kappa 02:24, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Well, someone reverted you and I rollbacked them! Hah. Um, yes. Well, who is this admin? I oft have problems like that myself. I'll go check it out. I'm honored to be the one you forsook for help! ~ Flameviper 14:57, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alman69uk

I take it there's a history with this user and the Edmund Van Der Klugh article? Is there any particular reason he's blanked his own article (apparently more than once)? Kribbeh 17:15, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] article creation

ok, no problems, I joined wiki only three weeks ago, and I wasn't aware of that astuce :) That was not what I intended.. Baristarim 17:29, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

ok, i removed the unconstructive warning of assload.. that was the only reason I had removed it in the first place coz it looked a bit aggressive as a post and an advice.. As for vandalism, pls see above, a simple warning would have been enough.. Baristarim 17:33, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
assload of articles and probable vandalism, eh? well, be my guest and have a look - Turkish_Constitution_of_1921, it is probably one of the best articles in the category of past and defunct constitutions.. Baristarim 07:27, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You made me laugh

You made me laugh with your speedy reason on Fredtheband. Thank you. It's hard to make us crusty old admin types laugh. :) --Woohookitty(meow) 19:17, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I changed the tag to prod btw. Don't think it's cut and dried enough for speedy. --Woohookitty(meow) 19:19, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Gee, thanks. You made my day. ~ Flameviper 14:24, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling

It is fine - it made me laugh to see Wikipedia spelt wrongly! Batmanand | Talk 16:30, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I was going to get around to fixing it, but never found the time. Tee-hee! ~ Flameviper 16:32, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Flameviper12, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Sorry, but I'm admin only in the hungarian version. :( NCurse work 15:20, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello!

Hi Flameviper12! You can call me K.C. if you like. I think I can handle typing Flameviper, as it is only one word. I am doing better about the wiki-markup thing (as you can see on my page) but I am still working on that. I could use some help with just finding things to edit. It seems that SuggestBot is not very helpful. I guess I can try him again. I am just trying to find an article that I actually know something about. I am on Wikipedia from about 7:00 to 11:00 every weekday, but I live in the Rocky Mountains ( Those are in America if you aren't familar with the area). Maybe we are on at the same time, but I am not sure what region of the world you live in. I hope that this whole "adoptee" thing works out.Color Me Invisible 15:45, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Mm, thanks. You caught me in a really goofy mood, I was just reading something really hilarious...Mmmpf!!!! OMGOMGOMGOM LOLOLOL!!!!! ~ Flameviper 15:56, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Adoption

Hi, I would like to applaud your initiative Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user. I think that such project could easily be integrated in Esperanza, it's a very good idea and it goes in line with Esperanzian goals. Furthermore, being in Esperanza would make it much easier for Wikipedians to reach it. May I thus suggest that you bring your project to Esperanza, or at least associate it? :-) Best regards.--Húsönd 15:05, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rename

As requested, I have renamed you as User:Flameviper, moving your account previously under that name to User:Stormtrooper. You should now move your userpages to the correct names. Warofdreams talk 19:34, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks :-p

I was just creating that page, and then I was going to show it on the discussion page for WP:ADOPT and see how everybody ( which is mainly you ) liked it. Since you like it, go ahead and post that sucker.

You're welcome! ~ Flameviper 15:11, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] *Sob*

I think that we should still keep on going with you having adopted me. This is what I propose we do with the whole thing. Once an experienced editor has declared that his or her charge is ''all grown up'' then the former adoptee can post this in their userboxes:

This user was raised by Flameviper and is now all grown up.
Okay, that sounds cool! ~ Flameviper 16:17, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ugh

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reasons:

Autoblock of 216.11.222.21. Please use {{unblock-auto}} as instructed in the block page next time for a quicker response.

[edit] Your RfA

I hate to suggest this to anyone, but I recommend that you withdraw your RfA. At this point, it doesn't look like it has a chance of succeeding with a unanimous oppose consensus. Feel free to try again in a few months if you're able to address people's concerns. --Coredesat (talk) 18:47, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your RfA

Appears that there is a clear consensus on RfA that you have still not yet demonstrated readiness to have delete/protect/block/MW edit rights. In the mean time, I'd recommend reading the oppose votes rational and perhaps opening an editor review or requesting mentorship from an admin at Esperanza.Voice-of-All 20:29, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Usernames to block

Hi. Just to let you know that the general procedure is to report inappropriate usernames to WP:AIV (as most are vandalous anyway). Category:Usernames to block would be somewhat redundant and slower. Thanks. MER-C 13:58, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Meh. ~ Flameviper 14:00, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Preview

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --Geniac 16:21, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

In case you're wondering, Formatter doesn't like your signature. It's probably because you're either using <font> tags inside [] instead of outside or because you should be using <div> instead. I won't fix your signature to work with Formatter for you, you can waste time experimenting yourself = P --  Netsnipe  ►  17:31, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your username

Hehe, nice name. I like your use of green too :P
 ViperBlade Talk!! 15:44, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] {{Spoil}}

Hi. The usage of {{if}} is deprecated. I was wondering if you could, by any chance, use the m:ParserFunctions instead? I'm just learning, so I didnt want to do it myself and potentially break it. I believe that the one to use would be #ifexist. Thanks! Storkk 14:44, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm afraid of ParserFunctions too, that's why I didn't use them :P ~ Flameviper 16:45, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Emanuel Kamalakis

I wanted to contribute something about my grandfather. This is all. He was significant for those people around him. He influenced a lot of people. You may remove his name if you want. Thanks. I understand. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Joelck (talkcontribs).

Eh? I don't remember at the moment. I'll get back to you. ~ Flameviper 16:44, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
