Flaxid Cricket Club is famous cricket club based in Newcastle, Australia. It was founded in 1986 and in 2006 it celebrates its 20th season in the Newcastle & District Cricket Association's City and Suburban competition.

The origins of the name Flaxid are believed to be linked to a piece of comedic commentary in the recording Wired World Of Sports by The Twelfth Man. The logo of Flaxid Cricket Club is a skeleton playing a dashing cover drive.

Flaxid Cricket Club has enjoyed mixed success over the years, earning premierships in 1987/88 and 2002/03. Some players have gone on to higher honours, and at least one former player is a current member of the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Each year a Tour de Flaxid is held, whereby members of the team travel to a remote location to promote the positive aspects of cricket in the community.

Flaxid Cricket Club is currently sponsored by the Hamilton Station Hotel, and is captained by Michael "The Canon" Buchanan.
